My Why

I want to help you experience consistent joy and ease in your life.

My mother was once asked about her politics; it was a loaded question, given she was Palestinian and the other person was trying to provoke her. After a few moments' thought, however, she had an answer that was both deftly redirecting, and entirely true to her values.

She said, "I think food is love, and I want to feed the whole world." I've thought about that so much, as the years have gone on. I enjoy cooking and love food, but don't have the same talent in the kitchen she did, as much as my brother and I try to make for each other the same things she made for us growing up.

My aptitude is instead with healing. I help people feel less pain and discomfort, and more ease and joy, using acupuncture and traditional medicine. And if I could do that for the whole world, I would.

I believe experiencing consistent joy and ease is possible for every person, and I have a passion for working with patients to bring their lives into that state. The source of healing is in your own body and self—the acupuncture, herbs, and other modalities I use help you to make your own medicine. I am here to offer my knowledge and compassion, and I know that when we work together as a team, we will create equilibrium and health.

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist, having received my MAcOM from Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and I currently practice acupuncture based on channel theory in the styles of Dr. Janice Hadlock and Marc Mastrandea. I previously spent several years working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and taught yoga after being certified in Classical Yoga via the Providence Institute. While traveling around the world, I trained in Ayurveda at Santhi Yoga Teacher Training Institute in Trivandrum, India, and Tantric Yoga at Mahasiddha Yoga in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I’m also dad to two young boys who are a pair of shining suns, and partner to a wife who inspires me everyday with her kindness and brilliance. I am constantly in our garden at home, tinkering with permaculture and supporting local wildlife, and practice Qi Gong and meditation there every day.
